What is Single-Origin Coffee?
Single-origin coffee is from a specific farm or region, compared to a blend which is a mix of coffees from different areas. The taste of the coffee is influenced by the climate, soil, and altitude of the area that it is grown in.
Why does this matter? Many large companies will only sell blends of inferior coffee. Since they don’t pay the premium for higher quality single-origin beans, they try to create a blend with a uniform taste that lacks any subtlety. We put in the extra effort to find the best single-origin coffees.
Can you grind my coffee for me?
We’ve found that it’s better to grind coffee right before brewing. Coffee begins to lose flavor within 5 minutes of being ground, so to keep it as fresh as possible, we recommend that you grind it yourself.

How do I know that I will only receive freshly roasted coffee?
Each subscription bag that we ship has been roasted the same day. You’ll see a sticker on the bag with the roast date.
What type of free samples do you send?
Every two weeks, we send a different single-origin coffee to our subscribers. The free sample will be shipped along with the selected roast.
Why do you need my credit card information for my free sample?
This lets us know that you’re a real person, and interested in our coffee.
If you’re not quite ready to buy, you can try a sample, and come back later to subscribe!
When will my sample be shipped out?
We generally roast and mail out our subscriptions every Tuesday, so that the coffee won’t be held up in the mail on the weekends.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
Am I going to be billed every two weeks?
Yes, after the free trial, you will be billed every two weeks before the coffee is shipped. We’ll send you an email a few days before you’re billed to let you know that you’ll be receiving the charge.
What day will I be charged?
We will charge your card every-other Monday after you subscribe, in time to mail out your coffee on Tuesday.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Simply log in to http://artisansbrew.com/my-account/, find your subscription, and select Cancel.
I cancelled my subscription. How can I start it again?
You can, just as easily as you cancelled. Log in to http://artisansbrew.com/my-account/, find your cancelled subscription, and select Renew.
